Oast Cowls...

For over 30 years we have supplied and fitted several thousand grp oast cowls all over Sussex, Kent and even further afield. Chances are you've seen many of our cowls without even realising they aren't wooden – a testament to the design! Our fibreglass oast house cowls offer numerous advantages over traditional wooden ones, or those that have been laminated over; The shell is solid fibreglass, meaning it cannot rot. The smooth external finish will stay looking bright and new for many years, and be cleaned without the need to remove the cowls. They are quieter – we use a combination of 50mm taper roller bearing and self lubricating nylon material to produce and extremely smooth and quietly turning cowl. Another benefit of our system is the extremely low maintainance required – we recomned a service once every 5 years, which is all done without the need for a crane or scaffold.

Our cowls are bespoke made for each roundel, ensuring the fit is perfect every time. Because we custom manufacture each cowl you have the option to customise the vane and motif, and we can accommodate any custom requirements.
